The Wentworth Golf Club Ladies League
The Ladies League plays on Wednesday mornings from May through October. The league includes both nine and 18-hole players. 18-hole players should have a handicap of 40 or lower. Members notify the league reps by Sunday, and foursomes are created for Wednesday's games. Nine-hole players are assigned tee times before 9:00 A.M., 18-hole foursomes play at 9:00 A.M. in a shotgun start. All play and scoring go by USGA rules. Players must enter their scores so that their GHIN handicap is accurate.
Membership for the Ladies League is $45.00 a year. To play on Wednesday morning, you must be a Full or Midweek Member of the Wentworth Golf Club.
The league has meetings periodically during the season to plan events and contributions to local charities. In September, a wine and cheese party is organized to celebrate the season and announce the seasonal and championship winners. In the fall, Wentworth ladies also participate in the Travel Golf League, enjoying other courses in northern New Hampshire. During the off season, the ladies get together for Girl's Night Out once a month.
